BACKGROUND

The Technology Development Program of the Medicine School was created in June, 1987 with the purpose of linking the technological potential of the School with the health industry, channeling, on the one hand, demands of the industrial sector for technical assistance and services with a high level of specialization and, on the other, technological knowledge developed in its research laboratories so that enterprises can transform it into new processes and products in a search for the transfer and commercialization of the technology.

OBJECTIVE

To complement the technological infrastructure of the health industry with specialized services and the joint development of applied research projects, offering firms the support of a reliable technological partner in an attempt to achieve competitive advantage.

SERVICES
The Program offers support in such points as:

  • Specialized advice and consultancy services in the search for technical information on new products and services.
  • Advice on the structuring of industrial protection strategies and the drawing up of patents.
  • Technological innovation projects together with industry.
  • Advice on aspects of commercial feasibility, market profile and the financial profile of Technology Development projects.
