8.1 The Researcher asks the Bioethics Committee to review his/her
Research Project.
8.2 The Coordinator receives the original and 10 copies of the
research project and sends them to the Committee members.
8.3 The coordinator calls a Committee meeting.
8.4 The Committee members analyze the project and issue a judgment.
8.5 The President signs the minutes and the judgment issued
by the Committee.
8.6 Discussions shall be confidential until the Bioethics Committee
issues a judgment.
8.7 The Coordinator informs the main Researcher of the Judgment
which can be:
8.7.1 Approved, in which the project is approved as it stands.
8.7.2 Approved with recommendations. When the project has minimal
modifications that are not relevant to the project in itself.
8.7.3 Modify and present again. When there are substantial
modifications to be made.
8.7.4 Not approved, when the Author(s) is(are) not recommended
to go ahead with the project.
8.8 Should the project be rejected or need modifications, the
Researcher must respect the request for the Research Protocol to be
reviewed once it has been corrected.
8.9 The judgments shall not be subject to appeal.
