3.1 All the research projects carried out in the School of Medicine
that have ethical implications must be evaluated by the Bioethics Committee.
3.2 In order to be evaluated, all research projects must be
accompanied by their research protocols.
3.3 The main Researcher in charge of the project must belong
to the School of Medicine.
3.4 The Bioethics Committee will give its technical opinion
on the ethical aspects of the research proposed through a review of
the risks, benefits and letter of informed consent, among other factors,
contained in the projects and their components, in order to guarantee
the well-being and rights of the research subjects.
3.5 The Bioethics Committee can issue a technical opinion with
respect to the aspects of biosafety of the installations, the material
and the methods involved in order to guarantee the protection of the
physical and biological integrity of occupationally exposed staff and
the research subjects, the community and the environment.
3.6 Researchers belonging to other institutions who wish their
research projects to be evaluated must contact the President of the
Bioethics Committee.
