BIOETHICS COMMITTEE
ORGANIZATION
The Bioethics Committee shall comprise a president,
a coordinator and nine members.
The Committee members shall be appointed by the Dean
of the School of Medicine and shall hold their positions for four years.
When a judgment is to be passed on research projects of a Committee members,
that member may not participate in the evaluation process. Assignation
of activities:
Of the President:
· Preside over and coordinate the Committee sessions.
· Sign the minutes and the judgments issued by the Committee.
· Cast the deciding vote.
Of the Coordinator:
· Take the place of the Committee President when he/she is absent.
· Summon the Committee members to the sessions.
· Write up the minutes of the session and the judgments that are issued.
· Inform the main researcher in writing of the decision with respect
to his/her project.
· Keep the statistical records.
Of the Members:
· Review the research projects and prepare the corresponding judgment
for discussion during the Committee session.
