7.1 It shall evaluate the research projects that have ethical
implications, taking as basis the principles set forth in the Helsinki
Declaration of 1964 and 1975, the National Bioethics Commission and
those contained in the General Health Law now in force, the Mexico City
Government Law for the protection of animals and the Guide for the care
and use of laboratory animals.
7.2 It shall make judgments as to the ethical aspects involved
in each project.
7.3 It shall sanction documents relating to compliance with
the ethical aspects of each project.
7.4 It shall provide advice on aspects of ethics when researchers
so request.
