The Congress will take place at the Palacio de Medicina of the Facultad of Medicine at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM, in México City; address Brasil 33, Centro, for the 7 to 9th september meetings, and at the Facultad de Medicine of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Calle 13 Sur #2702, in Puebla, for the next days (10 to 12th).

General Specifications:

We are glad to inform you some precisions about the important dates to observe for abstract submission to the Organizing Committee of the XLI International Congress of the History of Medicine.

For abstract submission, we change the deadline to the 31st march, 2008, due to the delay of the information. The abstracts will be sent by e-mail, in Word, 300 to 500 words, in New Times Roman 12. The e-mail address is cviesca@frontstage.org

The abstracts will be sent immediately to the Scientific Committee and you will have the acceptance letter in a two weeks time.

Once accepted, we pray you send us the complete text, not exceeding 10 pages, double spaced, with these same type and size of characters valid for the abstracts. The deadline will be 31st may, 2008. We need these texts to be able to have ready the proceedings book at the congress time.

Forms of presentation:
Magisterial Conferences, Plenary Sessions, Symposia, Paper Presentations and Posters.

Posters will be displayed throughout the Congress. Poster format: 75cm (width) x 100cm (length).
Poster Award will be presented to a select number of distinguished posters.

Guidelines For Presentation

Projection Center will be in service at the Congress Center for Power Point presentations preview and collections. Speakers are requested to use this facility before their presentations to make sure that their Power Point presentations are in the desired order and project clearly. Please, have your Power Point presentations in any Word for Windows programs, excepting Windows Vista, because we do not have possibilities to project it.

Speakers must bring their own slides to the Slide Center at least one hour before the beginning of the corresponding session. For the first morning session Power point presentations. Should be handed in the previous day (before 4 p.m.)
