- TDR-scientists list. TDR-scientists is a global electronic mailing list open to any scientists interested in TDR's work. It can be used as an open forum to broadcast brief messages considered useful to the tropical diseases research scientific community. Especially sensitive to the needs of scientists from developing countries, the tdr-scientists serves as a networking forum for tropical disease research scientists everywhere who are connected to the Internet.

- BIOSCI/Bionet Newsgroups
. Set of electronic communication forums - the bionet USENET newsgroups and parallel e-mail lists - used by biological scientists worldwide. No fees are charged for the service.
BIOSCI promotes communication between professionals in the biological sciences. All postings to the newsgroups should be made in that spirit. While the general public may "listen in" to the discussions, these newsgroups are intended primarily for communications between researchers.

- Listservs and Email Alerts. The American Society for Microbiology hosts 5 listservs.

- Servicio de Listas de Distribución de RedIRIS. Red académica y de investigación española. Por área temática. Requiere registro.

- The World Federation of Parasitologists. Site designed so that all members can post information about meetings or any other relevant scientific issues. We urge all members to consider using this site as an interactive forum for global parasitology.

- The Infectious Disease Research Network (IDRN). Includes many services for researchers, and a new forum, requested by several IDRN members, can be used to ask and answer questions, engage in debate, and share ideas. This can be viewed openly, but you must be logged in to reply to existing threads, or start a new discussion. Our focus is on UK-based research, although we welcome international members and collaborators. For more information on the IDRN, see the 'about us' pages.

- The Microbio Archives. The science and profession of microbiology.

- The Micology Archives. Research on mycology.

- The Protista Archives. Discussion on protists (protozoa, algae, zoosporic fungi).

- The Virology Archives. Research into virology.
