FARINGOAMIGDALITIS

Streptococcus pyogenes o estreptococo-beta-hemolítico del grupo A ( GAS - siglas en inglés) causa un amplio espectro de enfermedades:
Faringoamigdalitis,
Impétigo, fascitis necrotizante,
Síndrome de choque tóxico por estreptococos (SSTE);
entre las secuelas inmunes que induce se encuentran:
Glomerulonefritis y
Fiebre reumática aguda.
